Group Internal Audit
The Group Internal Audit (GIA) function is responsible for enhancing and protecting the organisational value of TP ICAP plc globally by providing risk-based and objective (independent) assurance, advice and insight. The team assesses the adequacy and effectiveness of TP ICAP’s risk management, control, and governance processes and makes recommendations for improvements. GIA covers all three geographic regions; EMEA, Americas and APAC with teams located in London and Singapore.
Role Overview
This role supports the Head of Audit (HoA) EMEA by driving and delivering a portfolio of high-quality risk-based audit services across the business; and assisting in the management of strategic relationships with key GIA stakeholders by ensuring the risks associated with latest business plans are fully considered and by providing independent opinion and assurance on the strength of the control framework and the effectiveness of business risk management.
Role Responsibilities
- Responsible for the delivery of high-quality audit reporting to time and cost budgets.
- The GIA function delivers approximately 45-55 audit assignments per year.
- Primary accountability to the audit leads, with responsibility for audit execution within that portfolio.
- Travel (approx. 20% depending on portfolio) is a requirement of this role, as deemed necessary, to complete audit engagements and to fulfil stakeholder engagement, building deep relationships.
Experience / Competences
Essential
- Prior governance experience with a background in Audit, Risk, Compliance or a similar controls role.
- Qualified with either ACA, ACCA, CISA, CISM or similar.
- Excellent attention to detail, highly organised with a proactive approach.
- Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills.
- Client Focused - Personable and engaging, able to communicate effectively, build relationships and networks with both internally and externally wherever possible.
