Role Overview
The Product Owner (PO) is responsible for maximising value delivery across Credit Technology platforms by managing and prioritising the product backlog, ensuring strong alignment to business outcomes, and supporting Agile delivery teams. Working closely with Product Managers, developers, UX, QA, and business stakeholders, the PO translates strategic objectives into clear, actionable user stories, guides delivery execution, and drives continuous improvement across the product lifecycle. This role sits at the centre of a broader platform transformation. We are continuing to enhance and deliver business value on our existing systems while iteratively modernising our technology landscape to support greater scalability, performance, and innovation. Key Responsibilities
- Support development teams by clarifying requirements, providing business context, and guiding sprint objectives.
- Actively engage with business stakeholders, including front-office users, to gather feedback and refine solutions.
- Apply customer-centric thinking using data, feedback, and usability insights to validate priorities.
- Coordinate cross-team delivery, managing dependencies, risks, and stakeholder alignment.
- Drive Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritisation reviews.
- Support UAT and ensure functional outcomes meet customer and business expectations.
Experience / Competences
Essential
- Proven experience as a Product Owner within financial services technology.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including front-office / business users, with the ability to challenge and refine requirements.
- Hands-on experience with Agile delivery (Scrum / SAFe), including running ceremonies and maintaining delivery momentum.
- Familiarity with Agile tooling such as Jira and Confluence.
Desired
- Experience in financial markets, trading, broking, or liquidity platforms.
- Exposure to transformation or modernisation initiatives.
- Familiarity with financial messaging protocols (e.g., FIX, XML) or API-based integrations.
- Understanding of testing practices, including UAT and regression approaches.
