Collectively, TP ICAP is the largest interdealer broker in the world by revenue, the number one Energy & Commodities broker in the world, the world’s leading provider of OTC data, and an award winning all-to-all trading platform.We work as one to achieve our vision of being the world’s most trusted, innovative, liquidity and data solutions specialist.Role OverviewThe Global Head of Operational Services is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, operational performance and transformation of TP ICAP's global Client Lifecycle Management (CLM) and Party Reference Data functions.The role is accountable for ensuring the effective onboarding, maintenance and offboarding of clients, counterparties and related entities across the Group, while maintaining the integrity, quality and governance of Party Reference Data used throughout TP ICAP's front-to-back ecosystem.The role will lead globally distributed teams across EMEA, Americas and APAC and will be responsible for delivering operational excellence, regulatory compliance, client experience, risk reduction and strategic transformation initiatives. The role forms part of the Global Operations Leadership Team and will work closely with Compliance, Risk, Technology, Legal, Finance, Data Management and Front Office stakeholders.Role ResponsibilitiesLeadership & StrategyLead and develop the global Operational Services function across all regions.Define and execute the strategic direction for Client Lifecycle Management and Reference Data operations.Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, and client service excellence.Contribute to the wider Global Operations strategy and transformation agenda.Lead annual planning, budget and resource management activities for the function. Responsibilities for strategic planning, operational efficiency, governance and resource management align with TP ICAP leadership role expectations.Client Lifecycle ManagementEnsure the effective delivery of operational services in line with agreed service levels, regulatory requirements, and business expectations.Maintain oversight of the end-to-end client lifecycle, including onboarding, periodic reviews, offboarding, and associated regulatory controls.Oversee Reference Data management activities, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and maintenance of critical business data.Act as the senior escalation point for Operational Services matters globally.Establish a globally consistent governance framework for client lifecycle activitiesRisk, Control & GovernanceMaintain a strong operational risk and control framework, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and internal standards.Lead engagement with Internal Audit, Risk, Compliance, and other control functions.Ensure operational activities align with the firm's risk management framework and governance requirements.Establish and lead governance forums to drive transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement across the function.Data GovernanceAct as Data Steward for Operational Services within the firm's Data Governance framework.Champion data quality, ownership, and governance standards across Operational Services.Ensure operational data is managed, controlled, and maintained in accordance with enterprise data policies.Change & TransformationIdentify and deliver opportunities to improve operational efficiency, control effectiveness, and service quality.Partner with Technology and Change teams to support system enhancements, platform migrations, automation initiatives, and operational transformation projects.Ensure appropriate testing and implementation governance is applied to system and process changes.Stakeholder ManagementBuild strong partnerships with Front Office, Compliance, Technology, Operations, Risk, and other key stakeholders.Provide timely management information, insights, and reporting to senior leadership.Represent Operational Services in strategic initiatives, projects, and governance forums.Drive talent development, succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement.Experience / CompetencesEssentialSignificant leadership experience within Operations in a wholesale financial markets, capital markets, banking, or financial services environment.Deep and demonstrated understanding of Client Lifecycle Management, KYC/AML processes, and operational controls.Proven ability to design and improve operational processes, controls, and service delivery models.Proven and robust stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior business leaders and control functions.Experience interacting with regulators, auditors and senior executive stakeholders.Demonstrated experience managing risk, governance, and regulatory obligations within an operational environment.DesirableDeep knowledge of wholesale financial markets and post-trade operational processes.Experience leading data governance, data quality, or reference data initiatives.Experience delivering technology-enabled transformation, automation, or operating model change.Our dedicated Talent Acquisition team is here to assist you in recognising how your unique skills and abilities can be a valuable contribution.
