Overview
As Head of Derivatives Compliance Advisory, you will lead the global advisory coverage for rates, FX, money markets and government bonds, shaping regulatory strategy and risk-aware guidance. You’ll partner with senior leaders and regional teams to ensure consistent regulatory application and robust risk management. You’ll drive regulatory change, training, and high-impact initiatives that strengthen market integrity and compliance culture. This role offers global scope, cross-functional collaboration, and a chance to influence strategic growth within TP ICAP.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Global Derivatives Compliance Advisory function and drive strategic direction
- Directly manage a multi-jurisdictional team of experts
- Provide regulatory guidance to Front Office and senior leaders
- Design global training programmes to enhance compliance culture
- Oversee compliance input on major strategic initiatives and new products
- Lead regulatory change programmes and remediation projects
- Represent Compliance Advisory in executive committees and governance forums
- Coordinate with regional teams to align with global regulatory developments
- Advise on MiFIR, EMIR, and Dodd-Frank implications for transactions and products
- Escalate and manage complex high-risk compliance matters across derivatives and government bonds
- Promote best practices and knowledge sharing across regions
Key requirements
- Extensive wholesale financial markets experience, especially rates and FX derivatives, money markets, and government bond products
- Significant compliance advisory experience in a global financial services organisation
- Strong understanding of interdealer brokerage models and market infrastructure
- Proven leadership across multiple jurisdictions and time zones
- Knowledge of global regulatory frameworks for derivatives trading and market conduct
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and maintain strong business relationships
- Strong programme and project management capabilities
- Commercial mindset with judgement in regulatory issues
