Role Overview: The equity execution trader plays an instrumental role in achieving our vision of being one of the leading agency equity single-stock and portfolio trading desks in the EMEA region and globally. The Equity Execution desk is an important part of the Liquidnet Equity division, managing and executing all Algorithmic, Portfolio and High Touch trading orders sent by clients. This role reports to the EMEA Head of Trading.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for meeting trading revenue targets for the EMEA trading Desk and collaborating with other teams, regions, and product lines.
  • Execute all equity orders across EMEA, primarily focused on single-stock equities, portfolio trading, and ETFs.
  • Communicate trading strategies encompassing Liquidnet’s core offering.
  • Perform real-time monitoring of algo orders for clients and provide a best-in-class customer service experience.
  • Analyse pre-trade and communicate post-trade reports.
  • Leverage resources to grow business and cross-sell product lines.

Experience / Competences:

  • 3 years + experience as an Equity Trader/Sales Trader - program trading and algorithmic trading experience preferred.
  • Strong track record of selling to institutional customers to meet business objectives and revenue goals.
  • Experience with quantitative trading strategies, pre- and post-trade analytics, including TCA.
  • Strong understanding of market structure and regulation.
  • Superior communication skills, self-motivated and responsible.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to problem solve.
  • High energy and drive with a commitment to delivering excellence.
  • Ability to travel as required.
