Role Overview:

The Senior Business Analyst role sits within the Rates & FX Delivery team that is part of TP ICAP Technology division. The role is critical to the success of business and technology-led initiatives where requirements need to be analysed and described as deliverables for multidisciplinary teams.

The Senior Business Analyst will elicit, understand and document Functional and Non-Functional requirements whilst working closely with the TP ICAP Business, Corporate and Technology teams. The Senior Business Analyst will analyse the requirements of product management, Front Office and corporate functions stakeholders and produce documentation that can be used by engineers to implement and test features.

Role Responsibilities:

Learn about TP ICAP’s technology solutions that support our global multi-brand Rates & FX business lines

Understand or be interested in learning about Interest Rate and FX financial products, including trading modalities and pricing

Work closely with product managers and Agile team members to translate business requirements into epics and stories

Support other team members throughout the delivery process, for example during requirements elicitation, backlog grooming, requirements clarification, UAT testing activities (including training)

Contribute to the definition of business architecture and business solution design

Act as a subject matter expert and actively contribute to decision making, identifying issues and shaping business solutions

Understand and challenge requirements, and proactively raise risks and issues to the team were identified

Be accountable for, and take ownership of the quality of Business Analysis work, peer review work and provide feedback

Contribute to the wider Business Analysis practice; help to improve processes and ways of working. Actively contribute to developing templates, methodologies and tools and share knowledge and ideas with the wider Business Analysis community

Manage ad-hoc tasks as required

Experience / Competences

3+ years proven experience in a comparable role, ideally in the Financial Services Technology space

Good understanding of modern componentised, event-driven, cloud-native system architecture

Good understanding of data protocols (Protobuf, XML, FIX)

Good understanding of Agile practices and tooling to support Agile workflows

Comfortable engaging with various stakeholder groups, including, but not limited to, stakeholders in broking, trading, compliance, trade management, development, testing roles – explaining technical solutions to a non-technical audience

Ability to use own initiative and strong personal organisation skills to work on multiple projects whilst managing multiple deadlines and differing priorities

Skilled in applications that support Agile development practices, like JIRA, Confluence, data analysis, visualisation and presentation tools (Viso, Excel, etc.)

Ability to work across global teams in multiple time zones & varied cultural working environments

Knowledge of programming languages like Python, Java or C# is beneficial

Knowledge of the front-to-back trade lifecycle is beneficial: client facing UI, trading, middle/back-office (booking, clearing), on-boarding, and reference data
