About Parameta Solutions: Parameta Solutions is the Data & Analytics division of TP ICAP Group. The business provides clients with unbiased OTC content and proprietary data, in-depth insights across price discovery, risk management, benchmark and indices, and pre and post-trade analytics. Its post-trade solutions offering helps market participants control their counterparty and regulatory risks through a growing range of tools that manage balance‑sheet exposure, as well as compression and optimisation services. The Data & Analytics division includes the following brands: Tullett Prebon Information, PVM Data Services, ICAP Information and Burton‑Taylor Consulting.
Role Overview: The Business Analyst within Parameta Solutions plays a pivotal role in the COO Office, embedded in the Project Management Office (PMO). This position is central to driving strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and data‑driven decision‑making. Acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, the Business Analyst will deliver robust analysis, translate complex requirements into actionable solutions, and ensure successful end‑to‑end project delivery. This is an opportunity to influence critical projects across trade lifecycle processes, regulatory reporting, and data management within a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to interpret regulatory drivers and customer needs, delivering in‑depth business analysis to design, build, test, and implement user‑centric, data‑driven, and compliant solutions.
- Data Analysis: Work closely with Order Management and Trade Management technology/business teams to analyze diverse data sources, understand data flows, and document attributes (definitions, lists of values, formats).
- Insight Delivery: Present analyses, findings, and recommendations to senior stakeholders to support informed decision‑making.
- Requirements Definition: Partner with SMEs and Product Teams to define end‑to‑end scope, map process flows, and produce clear, prioritized business and functional requirements.
- Challenge & Validate: Critically assess business needs to ensure new or modified processes and solutions are fit for purpose.
- Development Support: Provide ongoing support to Data Science and Data Engineering teams, clarifying and refining requirements throughout the development lifecycle.
- Project Collaboration: Work alongside Project Managers to drive stakeholder action and ensure timely, successful project planning and delivery.
Experience & Competencies:
Essential:
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst within the financial industry.
- Working knowledge of at least one OTC or Exchange‑traded product: Interest Rates, FX, Fixed Income, Equity, Energy & Commodities, or Credit.
- Hands‑on experience with projects covering pre‑to‑post/front‑to‑back trade lifecycle (e.g., market data ingestion, e‑trading, pricing, STP, risk and P&L management) or regulatory reporting (e.g., FRTB, MiFID II).
- Full suite of BA skills: requirements gathering, documentation, problem‑solving, data analysis, and testing.
- Ability to write SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Logical, structured approach to problem‑solving with high attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing project demands under pressure.
Desired:
- Practical knowledge of Python and FIX, or other programming languages and messaging protocols.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
- Proactive, inquisitive mindset with a self‑starter attitude.
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Snowflake, ThoughtSpot).
- Understanding of trading protocols in the Inter Dealer Broker market (RFQ, CLOB, Periodic Auction).
- Exposure to system integration and UX/UI design.
