As a Field Service Team Leader, you will be a self-driven, personable professional who instils a high priority on delivering the wow service to customers as well as to colleagues; one who thrives as a leader of a well-skilled team. Based in field, you will lead a team of engineers, providing coaching, training and support through daily communication, regular visits and spot-checks as well as team and individual meetings. Leading by example, you will manage your time well, identifying and proposing best practice across the team, offering solutions on a regular basis and work with other departments to promote great working relationships. This position will be to cover Kent and surrounding areas.

The Role – Field Service Team Leader

  • Provide a communication rhythm within the team to ensure inclusivity and build morale and motivation.
  • Support the team with any concerns or issues that require your expertise, coaching and mentoring.
  • Identify and deliver training to team members both on and offsite; advising management of additional training required.
  • Visit customer sites with more complex and challenging jobs, preferably with the engineer, to deliver the Liquidline WOW experience.
  • Offer up solutions over communication channels to engineers requiring advice regularly.
  • Take on projects as and when required to aid continuous improvement, if requested by Head of Field Operations, or Regional Operations Manager.
  • Cover Regional Operations Managers as required by the business in times of need.
  • Be an ambassador to help promote change and growth within the company.
  • Take ownership and drive any escalations to successful completion.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through the installation, repair and maintenance of equipment.
  • Carry out a broad range of equipment repairs and preventative maintenance tasks from fault finding to diagnosis, making sure all equipment is left in a good working order, with customers briefed on the issue.

What You Will Need in the Role of Field Service Team Leader

  • Effective Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coach and develop staff.
  • Effective working relationships with stakeholders, colleagues and customers, with a natural flair for forging strong working relationships.
  • Ability to prioritise, plan and organise own workload; anticipating potential problems before they arise.
  • Customer Service Skills - ability to resolve difficult customer situations and to develop an understanding of customer needs and requirements.
  • Strong communication skills – ability to communicate effectively with both customers, colleagues and management.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to make difficult decisions- use of initiative in decision making process.
  • If you have experience using power or hand tools, this would be an advantage to your application.
  • If you have worked as a Field Service Engineer previously, this would also be an advantage to your application.
