The BI & Data Lead will be responsible for overseeing Liquidline’s data strategy, business intelligence and analytics function within the IT department. The role will involve overseeing data strategy, developing and implementing a data strategy to support with business objectives. There will also be involvement in Business Intelligence, and Reporting whereby leading on the design and delivery of BI dashboards and reports will be required. The BI & Data Lead will support stakeholders in understanding business requirements, and will translate these into data solutions, providing required information quickly and accurately.
The BI & Data Lead will also have involvement in Liquidline’s new ERP implementation, collaboration with the IT team and project team where required.
The Role – BI & Data Lead
- To lead on Liquidline’s Business Intelligence Strategy & Planning process. Working closely with the IT Director, and Head of IT to plan, scope and deliver accurate meaningful insights to stakeholders across the company.
- To collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements.
- To lead on the Data function for Liquidline, ensuring alignment of Power BI solutions with business goals and Microsoft best practices.
- To design, and develop Power BI dashboards and reports using D365 to provide insights into all departments across the business.
- To write SQL to meet objectives, and lead on creating Power BI reports with relevant functionality to allow users to obtain relevant information quickly and accurately.
- To support in team leadership, and foster an environment of continuous improvement for Liquidline, and to look for opportunities to develop new initiatives.
What You Will Need In The Role Of – BI & Data Lead
- Bachelor’s or Master degree in Data Science, Computer Science of Business Analytics or a related field.
- Proven working experience of working within a data analytics, BI or data engineering field.
- Hands on experience with BI tools, such as Power BI.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organisation.
- High level of accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Responsive, and driven to get it right first time.
