Job Description
We’re seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Professional to take ownership of health, safety, and compliance across a number of active sites in the North East.\\nAreas to cover are Sunderland, South Sheilds, and Tynemouth.\\nThis is a full-time, on-site role for a minimum of 12 months FTC.\\nIdeally suited for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about promoting a safe and positive workplace culture.\\nKey Responsibilities:\\n * Act as the lead H&S representative across multiple project sites\\n * Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments\\n * Promote and enforce compliance with UK health & safety legislation\\n * Deliver training, toolbox talks, and guidance to on-site teams\\n * Investigate incidents and implement preventative actions\\n * Keep accurate records and documentation in line with company and legal standards\\n * Collaborate with operational and site teams to drive continual improvement\\nWhat You'll Need:\\n * NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent (higher-level H&S qualification preferred)\\n * Proven experience in construction health & safety, ideally on projects within live operational sites\\n * Strong working knowledge of CDM regulations and safe systems of work\\n * Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across construction and operational teams\\n * Excellent communication and reporting skills\\n * Full UK driving licence – car allowance provided\\n * Chartered status not essential – solid site-based experience is what matters\\nWhat We Offer:\\n * Competitive salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum\\n * Car allowance to support site travel\\n * A 12-month contract with the potential for extension\\n * 5-day on-site working week – Monday to Friday (Weekend overtime optional)\\n * Be part of a professional and supportive team, making a direct impact on health & safety standards\\nReady to Apply?
