We are working with a growing fire engineering consultancy looking to appoint a Fire Engineer to support the delivery of a wide range of projects across the UK. This is a permanent position suited to someone who enjoys hands‑on technical delivery and is looking to develop within a consultancy environment, working closely with senior leadership.

The Role

You will be involved in the delivery of fire engineering solutions across a varied portfolio of projects, including:

  • Fire strategy development
  • Performance‑based design (including CFD and evacuation modelling)
  • Application of UK guidance such as ADB, BS 9999 and BS 7974
  • Supporting design teams and engaging with clients and approving authorities
  • Contributing to technical reports and project delivery

You will work directly with senior engineers, gaining exposure across the full project lifecycle while building your technical capability.

This role is best suited to someone who is technically strong, but still enjoys being part of a team and developing within a structured business.

  • Experience within a fire engineering consultancy environment
  • Strong grounding in UK fire standards and guidance (ADB, BS 9999, BS 7974)

  • Exposure to performance‑based design (CFD / evacuation modelling beneficial)
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and under direction
