We’re looking for a committed and proactive Caretaker to join our clients Estate Services team on a permanent basis. You’ll deliver a professional, respectful and efficient caretaking service across housing sites, ensuring residents enjoy safe, clean, and welcoming communal spaces.
Key Details:
- Salary: £23,815 per annum
- Contract: Permanent
- Hours: 36.25 hours/week (Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm)
- Location: Site-based – Manchester
- DBS Check Required
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality cleaning and caretaking services across schemes
- Carry out inspections, minor communal repairs, and safety checks
- Remove bulk waste and issue TORT notices
- Collaborate with Neighbourhood, Estate and Direct Maintenance teams
- Ensure all tasks meet compliance and health & safety standards
- Maintain up-to-date records via handheld devices
- Escalate safeguarding concerns in line with policy
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous caretaking or estates experience in a customer-focused setting
- Good knowledge of COSHH and health & safety requirements
- Ability to work independently and follow protocols
- Basic DIY skills and use of hand/power tools (desirable)
- Confident communicator and team player
- Experience using mobile devices for workflow tracking
- Aware of safeguarding and social responsibility in housing
