We’re currently partnered with a client based in Swindon who are looking for a Quality Assurance Reviewing Officer.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Reviewing Officer (QAROs) to join our growing team. Reporting to the Service Manager, you’ll deliver high-quality independent oversight across children in care, child protection, and fostering reviews – ensuring statutory safeguarding requirements are met while driving service improvement. QAROs play a key role in promoting strengths-based practice, supporting professional challenge, and fostering effective multi-agency collaboration. The service champions a child’s right to family life and is central to Swindon’s Family Safeguarding model, which is making a real difference to children and families. When care is needed, QAROs ensure the Local Authority provides the best possible support.

Must Have
- SWE Registration
- A relentless commitment to quality
- Minimum of 5 years post qualifying experience including previous and recent management experience of supervising staff in a Children Social Care setting
- Experience of chairing complex meetings when there is conflict and anxiety to manage
- Experience of managing complex Child Protection and Cared for Children work where children may be removed from their parents care
- Supervisory and management experience
- Expert knowledge of current and relevant child care legislation, guidance and procedures
