Liquid Personnel is recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated Adult Social Care team in Solihull for its client. This is a fantastic opportunity to support adults living in their own homes by carrying out Occupational Therapy assessments that promote independence, improve safety, and reduce risks for service users and their carers.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Completing community-based Occupational Therapy assessments
  • Recommending equipment, minor and major adaptations to support safe independent living
  • Assessing moving and handling needs and providing appropriate recommendations
  • Undertaking seating assessments
  • Advising on adaptations funded through Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs)
  • Applying the Mental Capacity Act when assessing equipment and adaptation needs
  • Working closely with service users, carers, and multidisciplinary professionals to achieve positive outcomes

Qualifications & Experience:

  • HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist
  • Experience in Adult Social Care and community-based assessments
  • Strong moving and handling knowledge
  • Experience with Disabled Facilities Grant (DFG) adaptations
  • Seating assessment experience
  • Good understanding of the Mental Capacity Act and its application to Occupational Therapy practice
