Liquid Personnel is recruiting an Adult Social Worker to join its client’s Locum DoLS Authorised Signatory team, based in Rotherham.
What will your responsibilities be?
- DoLS assessments — Review, quality‑assure, and sign off Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards assessments completed by Best Interests Assessors and Mental Health Assessors to ensure they meet legal and statutory requirements.
- Authorising DoLS applications — Make decisions on whether a deprivation of liberty is lawful and proportionate, issuing standard or urgent authorisations in line with the Mental Capacity Act.
- Multi‑agency liaison — Communicate with care homes, hospitals, families, advocates, and health professionals to gather information, provide guidance, and ensure the person’s rights and best interests remain central.
Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role you must have:
- Social Work England registration
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Hold a full UK driving licence
- Post-qualified experience
- Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
