Liquid Personnel is recruiting an Adult Social Worker to join its client’s Locum DoLS Authorised Signatory team, based in Rotherham.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • DoLS assessments — Review, quality‑assure, and sign off Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards assessments completed by Best Interests Assessors and Mental Health Assessors to ensure they meet legal and statutory requirements.
  • Authorising DoLS applications — Make decisions on whether a deprivation of liberty is lawful and proportionate, issuing standard or urgent authorisations in line with the Mental Capacity Act.
  • Multi‑agency liaison — Communicate with care homes, hospitals, families, advocates, and health professionals to gather information, provide guidance, and ensure the person’s rights and best interests remain central.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Post-qualified experience
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
