Liquid Personnel is seeking a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join its client’s Blackburn with Darwen team on a locum basis. This role focuses on delivering essential community-based assessments and interventions for individuals requiring equipment provision, as well as minor and major adaptations to support independence, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct community assessments in a local authority setting, identifying needs and recommending equipment solutions
  • Plan and facilitate minor and major adaptations to enhance safety and functionality within clients’ homes
  • Collaborate with clients, families, and professionals to create tailored support plans
  • Maintain accurate records in line with professional and legal standards
  • Complete manual handling assessments and ensure safe practices

Requirements

  • HCPC Registration and relevant Occupational Therapy qualifications
  • Experience within a local authority setting
  • Proficiency in manual handling assessments
  • Strong knowledge of equipment provision and home adaptations
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Enhanced DBS clearance
