Liquid Personnel is seeking a skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join its client’s Blackburn with Darwen team on a locum basis. This role focuses on delivering essential community-based assessments and interventions for individuals requiring equipment provision, as well as minor and major adaptations to support independence, safety, and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct community assessments in a local authority setting, identifying needs and recommending equipment solutions
- Plan and facilitate minor and major adaptations to enhance safety and functionality within clients’ homes
- Collaborate with clients, families, and professionals to create tailored support plans
- Maintain accurate records in line with professional and legal standards
- Complete manual handling assessments and ensure safe practices
Requirements
- HCPC Registration and relevant Occupational Therapy qualifications
- Experience within a local authority setting
- Proficiency in manual handling assessments
- Strong knowledge of equipment provision and home adaptations
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Enhanced DBS clearance
