Expert Witness Opportunity for Occupational Therapists

We are expanding our panel of Occupational Therapist Expert Witnesses and are seeking highly experienced OTs with strong clinical backgrounds and excellent analytical skills. This is an ideal opportunity to diversify your income, work flexibly, and apply your specialist expertise within the legal arena.

Ideal OT Expert Witness Profile
  • Professional Background with 10+ years’ experience in clinical practice and/or case management.
  • Strong background in:
  • Polytrauma
  • Orthopaedics
  • Amputees
  • Brain injury
  • Spinal cord injury
  • Paediatric brain & spinal injuries
  • Experience working as a Case Manager or independent practitioner is highly desirable.
  • Specialist Skills
    • Skilled in costing care packages across statutory and private sectors.
    • Strong understanding of rehabilitation, long‑term support needs, care planning and care costs.
    • Confident assessing complex needs and projecting future care requirements.
    Expert Witness Competencies
    • May already have experience writing independent expert witness reports (not essential).
    • Understanding of court‑compliant reporting standards, deadlines and professional duties.
    • Ability to produce clear, structured, defensible reports.
    Employment Requirements
    • Self‑employed OT (cannot work for another expert witness company).
    • Able to commit one day per week to expert witness work.
    • Capacity to complete a minimum of 6 reports per year.
    • Willing to travel for assessments.
    • Based in England, ideally with good transport links.

    • Strong IT skills and comfortable with digital tools.
