An exciting new opportunity has come up to join my client based in the North East area. They are looking for an experienced social worker to join their safeguarding and care planning team, working with children in need and children who need protection. When children are at risk of harm, they use the PLO and if necessary, issue and work within care proceedings.
This is an exciting time to join this local authority as they are making a big shift to open up more permanent opportunities and with this comes career progression. They are looking for people who are keen for a new challenge and want to take the next step up to grow together.

As a social worker, you will need to have significant experience working within children and family services. Ideally, you will have:
- Experience of working within safeguarding or care planning
- Proven track record of statutory social work experience
- Sound and robust legal framework knowledge
- Can manage your own caseload and have good communication skills
- SWE registered
- Full UK drivers license
- Right to work in the UK
