Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for a Social Worker to join its client's Manchester City and Locality Team based in Wythenshawe. The candidate will join a team of 2 Advanced practitioners and 4 social workers supported by an experienced Team Manager. The team focuses on CIN, CP, Pre-proceedings and care proceedings.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake comprehensive assessments of children and families in line with statutory responsibilities and safeguarding procedures.
- Manage a varied caseload involving children subject to Child Protection Plans, Child in Need Plans, and Public Law Outline (PLO) processes.
- Prepare high-quality court reports, statements, and care plans for legal proceedings.
- Attend court hearings and provide evidence where required.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to ensure positive outcomes for children and families.
- Carry out direct work with children and young people to assess risk and identify support needs.
- Develop and review care and safety plans in accordance with legislation and local authority procedures.
- Undertake home visits and maintain accurate, up-to-date case recordings.
- Participate in strategy meetings, case conferences, looked after children reviews, and planning meetings.
- Ensure all practice is child-centred, strengths-based, and compliant with statutory guidance and Social Work England standards.
- Support children to remain safely within their families wherever possible while ensuring safeguarding remains paramount.
- Contribute to permanence planning for children where necessary, including care proceedings and placement planning.
