Liquid Personnel is recruiting Social Worker for its client's Children with Disabilities Team at Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a highly supportive and experienced team consisting of 4 Social Workers, 2 Advanced Practitioners, and a Team Manager, working with children and young people with disabilities and complex needs.
Responsibilities:
- Work with children and families across a range of statutory interventions, including:
- Children in Need (CIN)
- Child Protection (CP)
- Children Looked After (CLA)
- Undertake assessments, care planning and intervention work to ensure children receive the right support at the right time.
- Assess eligibility for short breaks and support access to appropriate packages of care for children with disabilities and complex needs.

About the Team:
The team is based at Wythenshawe, in the south of the city. The service operates a largely office-based model to promote collaboration, team identity, resilience and peer support, while allowing flexibility where appropriate. This is an exciting time to join the service as Manchester continues to develop and shape future ways of working through its involvement in the Families First Reforms programme.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration
- Experience working within Children's Services
- Strong assessment and safeguarding skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and work effectively with partner agencies
