Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting a Practice Manager to join the Children with Disabilities Service in an East London based local authority rated OUTSTANDING by OFSTED. This is a key leadership role supporting the management of a dedicated Children with Disabilities Team. This position is ideal for an experienced Practice Manager seeking to broaden their expertise, or a skilled Senior Social Worker ready to take the next step in their career development.
Salary: Up to £61,653 (dependent on experience) + £3,000 Recruitment & Retention Bonus. Hybrid working and fantastic training and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, motivate and nurture a team of Social Workers and unqualified staff to deliver high‑quality Children’s Social Care services.
- Ensure the service is effective, outcome‑focused, and that children’s cases are progressed in a timely and responsive manner.
- Take responsibility for managing complex cases and contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of the service.
- Support and influence the development of best practice, policies and procedures within the operational team.
- Build and maintain strong multi‑agency relationships, ensuring effective communication across the service.
- Take a lead role in team meetings and operational functions, acting as deputy in the absence of the Team Manager.
- Recognised Social Work qualification (Degree in Social Work, PGC in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW or equivalent).
- Registration with Social Work England.
- Demonstrable experience in children’s social care, ideally within disability services.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, guide and support a diverse team.
