We are currently recruiting for a Temporary Behaviour Mentor to work with children and young people with challenging behaviour based in East Ham, London E6.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with teaching staff to support the education and development of children and young people with challenging behaviour.
- Providing 1-2-1 support to students with challenging behaviour, using effective behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and encourage participation in learning activities.
- Collaborating with teaching staff and external professionals to develop tailored learning plans for students, monitoring progress and behaviour, and reporting any concerns.
- Supporting the social and emotional development of students, promoting self-esteem and confidence.
- Encouraging and motivating students to engage in learning, providing additional support where necessary.
- Participating in training and development opportunities to further enhance your knowledge and skills.
Previous experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour is essential. A relevant qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Education, or a related field is desirable.
