Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Occupational Therapist to join its client’s Adult Social Care team based in Lewes, East Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated OT who enjoys working within the community, supporting adults to maximise their independence and achieve positive outcomes through person-centred, strengths-based practice. You'll work with adults with a variety of physical and functional needs, completing assessments, recommending equipment and adaptations, and working closely with health and social care professionals to deliver coordinated support.
What You'll Be Doing
- Carrying out Occupational Therapy assessments within community settings
- Assessing functional abilities and identifying barriers to independent living
- Recommending appropriate equipment and home adaptations
- Completing moving and handling assessments where required
- Developing person-centred intervention and support plans
- Supporting adults to maximise their independence and wellbeing
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, carers, and partner agencies
- Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant case records
- Promoting safe, strengths-based practice and positive outcomes
What We're Looking For
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working within Adult Social Care and/or community settings
- Strong assessment, analytical, and clinical reasoning skills
- Experience recommending equipment and adaptations
- The ability to manage a varied caseload independently
- Excellent communication and partnership-working skills
