Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Family Court Adviser (Children & Families) for its client's Cafcass service based in Canterbury, Kent.

This is a full-time agency role offering £37.75 per hour and supporting children involved in family court proceedings through robust safeguarding, assessment, and court advisory work.

  • What You Will Be Doing
  • Providing advanced social work services to children, families, and courts involved in family proceedings.
  • Assessing and analysing court applications where there are child protection or serious welfare concerns.
  • Delivering high-quality safeguarding and child protection advice, assessments, and analysis to the Family Court.
  • Undertaking direct work with children and families to ensure children's voices, wishes, and feelings remain central to decision-making.
  • Preparing clear, evidence-based recommendations and reports to support judicial case management.
  • Influencing parents and carers to remain child-focused throughout court proceedings.
  • Working collaboratively with Local Authorities, legal professionals, and partner agencies to safeguard children.
  • Identifying risks and making referrals to appropriate support services when this will improve outcomes for children.
  • Negotiating effectively with families and professionals to achieve safe and positive outcomes for children.
  • What We Are Looking For
  • Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant post-qualified experience in children's social work.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, child protection, and family court proceedings.
  • Experience of conducting complex assessments and producing high-quality analytical reports.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently while managing a complex caseload.
  • Commitment to keeping children at the centre of all practice.
