Expert Witness Opportunity for Occupational Therapists
We are expanding our panel of Occupational Therapist Expert Witnesses and are seeking highly experienced OTs with strong clinical backgrounds and excellent analytical skills. This is an ideal opportunity to diversify your income, work flexibly, and apply your specialist expertise within the legal arena.
Ideal OT Expert Witness Profile- Qualified Occupational Therapist with 10+ years experience in clinical practice and/or case management.
- Strong background in:
- Polytrauma
- Orthopaedics
- Amputees
- Brain injury
- Spinal cord injury
- Paediatric brain & spinal injuries
- Skilled in costing care packages across statutory and private sectors.
- Strong understanding of rehabilitation, long-term support needs, care planning and care costs.
- Confident assessing complex needs and projecting future care requirements.
- May already have experience writing independent expert witness reports (not essential).
- Understanding of court-compliant reporting standards, deadlines and professional duties.
- Ability to produce clear, structured, defensible reports.
- Self-employed OT (cannot work for another expert witness company).
- Able to commit one day per week to expert witness work.
- Capacity to complete a minimum of 6 reports per year.
- Willing to travel for assessments.
- Based in England, ideally with good transport links.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Highly organised and confident managing multiple priorities.
- Strong IT skills and comfortable with digital tools.
- Maintains regular communication with our team to ensure best client outcomes.
