Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking for your next opportunity within a supportive and dynamic Adult Social Care team? Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for a Progressed Occupational Therapist to join a well-established service covering the East of County Durham, supporting residents across Seaham, Peterlee, Blackhall Colliery, Sedgefield, and Newton Aycliffe. This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with strong experience in equipment provision, moving and handling assessments, and adaptations who is passionate about helping people maintain their independence and quality of life.

The Role: Working within a busy community-based team, you will undertake assessments and provide practical solutions that enable individuals to live safely and independently within their own homes.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments within the community.
  • Complete moving and handling assessments and provide specialist recommendations.
  • Assess and prescribe equipment to support independence and safety.
  • Recommend and coordinate minor and major adaptations.
  • Work collaboratively with service users, families, carers, and multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of assessments and interventions.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Occupational Therapy qualification and HCPC registration
  • Experience working as a Progressed or Senior Occupational Therapist
  • Strong knowledge of moving and handling practices
  • Experience with minor and major adaptations
  • Equipment assessment and provision experience
  • Excellent assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively
