Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced and committed Senior Social Worker to join their Adults Access Team in Dudley. This is a fast-paced frontline service that acts as the first point of contact for adult social care referrals, delivering timely assessments, triage, and initial interventions.

In this role, you will play a key part in screening referrals, undertaking Care Act assessments, and determining appropriate pathways for individuals with a range of needs, including disabilities, safeguarding concerns, and complex social care requirements. You will work closely with service users, families, and partner agencies to ensure a proportionate, strengths-based approach, promoting independence and effective access to services.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Manage incoming referrals, undertaking triage and screening to determine appropriate interventions and eligibility under the Care Act.
  • Complete timely and proportionate assessments, including strengths-based and outcome-focused care planning.
  • Undertake safeguarding enquiries and ensure risk is managed effectively, in line with statutory responsibilities.
  • Provide expert advice, guidance, and signposting to individuals, families, and professionals.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners, including health services and community organisations.
  • Make informed decisions regarding onward referrals, ensuring smooth transitions to longer-term teams where required.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in line with legislative and organisational standards.
  • Support team development, contribute to best practice, and engage in supervision and CPD.

IT Skills:

  • Experience using electronic case management systems and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Professional Qualification: MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW.
  • Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience: Significant experience within a statutory adult social care setting, including frontline or duty work, assessments, and safeguarding.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of Care Act 2014, safeguarding frameworks, and adult social care legislation.
