Our client in Devon is looking for an experienced Social Worker to join their Adult Community Team. The role involves working with adults aged 18 and over, conducting Care Act and Mental Capacity assessments, determining Best Interest outcomes, completing DOLs assessments, having experience with CHC checklists and DSTs, and confidently working with professional partners in a multidisciplinary team approach.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Professional Qualification: A recognised professional qualification in social work, such as an MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW (Certificate of Qualification in Social Work).
- Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England, the regulatory body for social workers in England.
- Experience: Significant experience in delivering social work services to vulnerable adults, including those with disabilities and complex needs.
- Knowledge of Legislation: Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
- Skills: Strong assessment and analysis skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence and access to a car are often required for client visits.
