Location: North Wales

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for a Social Worker to join a Child Protection Team based in North Wales.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct social work services to children and families in need of care and support.
  • Respond to safeguarding concerns in line with the Wales Safeguarding Procedures.
  • Conduct safeguarding investigations and complete risk assessments.
  • Develop outcome-focused care and protection plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Work in partnership with families, carers, and other professionals to safeguard children.
  • Ensure statutory timescales for assessments and reviews are met.
  • Contribute to multi-agency meetings, including strategy discussions and child protection conferences.
  • Prepare and present reports for legal and safeguarding meetings.
  • Promote early intervention and preventative services to reduce the need for managed care.
  • Support placement arrangements and long-term planning for children when necessary.
  • Maintain professional accountability for decisions and resource allocation.
  • Encourage participation of children and families in planning and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, council policies, and financial regulations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Hold a Social Work England registration.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK.
  • Hold a full UK licence.
  • Social Work Qualification, degree or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years' experience as a social worker within children's services.
