Liquid Personnel are currently working exclusively alongside our esteemed client in the East Midlands to recruit for an Advanced Practitioner to join their Child Protection and Permanency team. This is a perfect opportunity for someone wanting to progress in their career, looking for a new opportunity to utilise their skillset in order to support the development of a team and service.

Duties of a Child Protection and Permanence Advanced Practitioner:

  • To work as part of the team delivering services to Children In Need/In Need of Protection as part of an integrated service delivering high quality services with families and carers.
  • To mentor and supervise other social workers and social work assistants.
  • To lean on and role model exceptional social work values and practice, supporting the development of others within the service.
  • To be responsible for and hold a number of complex cases and ensure children are safeguarded as well as promoting and role modelling good social work practice.

Key requirements for the role:

  • Current SWE registration and valid right to work in the UK
  • Have completed your ASYE and significant post qualified experience in Child Protection and Care Planning
  • UK driving licence
  • Knowledge of Child-care legislation
  • Skilled in the management of risk and assessment of children's needs
  • Great communication skills, able to explain complicated information simply
  • Knowledge of the issues that affect parenting capacity and the impact of deprivation on child development
  • Experience of Signs of Safety methodology
