Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Assurance Officer to join Bolton Council, supporting the development and improvement of social work practice across Children's Services.
Responsibilities:
- Undertake a range of quality assurance activities to evaluate the effectiveness of services being delivered to children and families.
- Complete and support others to undertake audits, dip sampling, and quality assurance reviews across Children's Services.
- Support the embedding of practice standards, expectations, and continuous improvement across the workforce.
- Provide high support and high challenge to practitioners and managers to promote consistently good outcomes for children and families.
- Track and monitor audit recommendations, ensuring actions are completed and improvements are embedded into practice.
- Undertake follow-up dip sampling activity to evidence learning and improvement from quality assurance cycles.
- Carry out specific audits, thematic reviews, and service evaluations as required.
- Collect, analyse, and collate feedback from children, young people, and families to inform service development and quality improvement.
- Work collaboratively with managers and practitioners to ensure quality assurance findings influence frontline practice.
- Provide coaching and support to practitioners and audit participants, promoting a shared understanding of audit processes and quality standards.
- Contribute to inspection preparation activities across Children's Services, supporting readiness and continuous improvement.
- Promote and support relational and restorative approaches to practice.
- Contribute to workforce development initiatives, learning events, and practice improvement activities where required.
- Support the development of a culture of reflective practice, learning, and professional accountability.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Social Work England registration.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Degree level qualification in Social Work (DipSW/CQSW or equivalent).
- Extensive post-qualification experience within Children's Social Care.
- Experience of supporting professional staff to deliver high-quality social work practice.
- Strong knowledge of childcare legislation, safeguarding procedures, and evidence-based practice.
