Best Interest Assessor – Medway – Adults/DoLS Team

An exciting job role has recently become available at the Medway Council. They are looking for a new member for their Adults/DoLS Team.

Medway are seeking 2 locum BIAs to undertake Best Interest Assessments on behalf of Medway Council until 31.03.2025. You will need to be 2 years post qualified and have completed BIA refresher training within the last 1 year.

Requirements:

• Able to complete 3-4 assessments per week, depending on the complexity of the assessment.
• You will be required to undertake all duties relating to the process and practice of Best Interests Assessments, in an efficient and effective manner, and in accordance with Medway DOLS Office policies and procedures.
• Car driver with cover is essential.

What we are looking for in a Social Worker:

• Social Work England registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a full UK licence
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
