Liquid Personnel is recruiting Occupational Therapists for its client's Children with Disabilities team in Barnet - Colindale, London. Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist with a background in supporting children with disabilities? We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join its team, working with children and young people with disabilities to help maximise independence, improve daily living outcomes, and support families across the borough. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive local authority offering flexible hybrid working and a competitive hourly rate.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess the needs of children and young people with a range of physical, developmental, and complex disabilities, providing specialist recommendations and interventions that promote independence and wellbeing.
  • Undertake Occupational Therapy assessments for children and young people with disabilities.
  • Recommend and facilitate the provision of specialist equipment and adaptations.
  • Complete moving and handling assessments where required.
  • Work closely with families, carers, schools, health professionals, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide expert advice to support children in their home and educational environments.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to effective care planning.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration
  • Experience working specifically with children with disabilities
  • Strong knowledge of paediatric Occupational Therapy practice
  • Experience in equipment provision, adaptations, and functional assessments
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively

Please note: Candidates must have experience working with children with disabilities. Experience solely within adult services will not be suitable for this position.
