Job Title: National Account Manager – Discounters
Location: London (near London Bridge/Waterloo) – Hybrid (2–3 days onsite per week)

Role Overview:
We’re creating a new National Account Manager – Discounters role to unlock the significant untapped potential in the UK discount channel. You will be our go-to expert on discount retail—both hard and soft discounters—with full accountability for crafting and executing the commercial strategy to drive rapid, profitable growth.
You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and work cross-functionally to deliver on both our P&L and market share ambitions. Key Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver the discount channel’s P&L and market share goals.
- Lead the development and execution of the growth strategy for discounters, ensuring alignment across teams.
- Build strong, influential relationships with key buyers to implement our category plans.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and ensure compliance with terms.
- Analyse Nielsen and financial data to inform plans and optimize performance.
- Accurately forecast sales volumes and meet the requirements of our S&OP process.
- Collaborate cross-functionally within the UK&I team to align with broader business objectives.
- Be an active member of a high-performing, passionate grocery and discount team.
Key Stakeholders:
- Daily interaction with Grocery NAMs, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Leadership teams.
- Reports directly to the Head of Grocery & Discounters.
What We’re Looking For:
- A results-driven, tenacious professional with a proven track record in managing both hard and soft discounter accounts.
- Strong commercial acumen with exceptional negotiation, selling, and presentation skills (e.g. GAP trained).
- Analytical thinker with excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Agile, action-oriented and thrives under pressure.
- Highly collaborative team player who brings energy, focus, and resilience to their role.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and able to adapt quickly to change.
- Customer-focused with a deep understanding of the discounter landscape.
- FMCG experience preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant discounter experience required.
