High growth B2B events business seeks a dynamic and strategic-minded Head of Sales to lead their Sponsorship & Expo Sales team.
Our client is in a major growth phase with significant investment across people and products.
As the Head of Sales, you will play a pivotal role in managing, coaching, and developing the team, ensuring they meet company KPIs and achieve ambitious sales goals.
This role requires confidence in working towards aggressive strategic goals. You will serve as a front-line leader, providing guidance, foresight, and effective day-to-day management.
The role demands a comprehensive view of sales teams, requiring the implementation of strategies, tools, processes, and metrics that positively impact overall events revenue.
They aim to exponentially grow their Exhibition business over the next 3 to 5 years, reflecting their commitment to the vast opportunities within their portfolio.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate is a seasoned B2B event (live and virtual) and exhibition executive with strong operational and sales management experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the MD to lead the team\’s strategic direction, with strong growth campaign management, execution, and delivery.
- Partnering with internal stakeholders to innovate engagement strategies and provide top-tier solutions for client objectives.
- Managing, coaching, and developing the Exhibition Sales Executive and Strategic Delegate Sales teams to high performance, ensuring achievement of KPIs and sales targets.
- Recruiting, onboarding, and training team members to maximize growth opportunities.
- Providing transparent forecasting and reporting to Senior Management, leveraging analytics and performance data to optimize resources and minimize risks.
- Driving the sales process, maintaining control, and fostering quality interactions with decision-makers.
- Working with the MD and Executive Team to design and implement a cohesive business strategy across sales, marketing, and sales enablement teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8+ years of hands-on sales and C-level events management experience.
- Proven track record of managing sizable revenue goals and teams.
- Ability to use metrics and data-driven approaches for pipeline management with confident forecasting skills.
- Comfortable presenting value propositions with clarity and persuasion.
