THE ROLE

To handle a broad ranging employment law workload with a mainly contentious focus, including:

  • Unfair dismissal, redundancy, TUPE, and other employment protection issues
  • Boardroom battles, directors disputes and shareholding
  • Bonus claims
  • Wrongful dismissal and other disputes relating to contracts of employment including constructive unfair dismissal including equal pay
  • Restrictive covenants, directors duties and breach of confidence claims and related injunction work
  • Whistleblowing
  • Directors contracts
  • Partnership disputes
  • Disciplinary investigations and disciplinary hearings
  • Drafting contracts of employment including restrictive covenants, disciplinary codes etc
  • Settlement agreements
  • Dispute avoidance and mediation

THE PERSON

  • 2-6 PQE+ Employment specialist
  • Experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
  • Ideally based in Kent/Sussex where local knowledge will be beneficial
  • Good business development skills
