Position Description

  • Responsible for managing transport, warehousing, stock control and export operations to ensure products are delivered on time, inventory is maintained accurately, and customer requirements are met.
  • Ensure all export documentation is accurate and compliant with relevant regulations and customer requirements.
  • Monitor, analyse and report on transport and freight costs, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
  • Oversee stock control processes, cycle counting and inventory accuracy, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate stock records within the company ERP system and provide regular reporting on inventory performance.
  • Work closely with Production, Procurement and Sales teams to ensure material availability and timely customer deliveries.
  • Develop and improve logistics, warehousing and stock management processes to support business growth and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all logistics and warehouse activities are carried out in accordance with Health & Safety requirements and company procedures.
  • Ensure despatch operators training is up-to-date.
  • Supervise and support Despatch Team operations, including appropriate and safe loading and delivery preparation.
  • Maintain delivery traceability by overseeing daily recording and reporting of delivery details.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and wider operational projects across the business.
  • Undertake any other duties reasonably required to support the needs of the business.

Experience

  • CILT Level 3 or above in Logistics, Transport or Supply Chain Management is desirable.

Position: Full Time with an immediate start

Hours of work: Mon-Thursday 9.00am – 17.00pm, Friday 8.00am – 2.00pm

Holidays: Full time – 25 days per year (Holiday year Jan – Dec) + 8 Bank holidays, Pro rata for part time.

Life Insurance: 3 times basic salary whilst in employment

Pension Scheme: Automatic enrolment if meet criteria, 5% Employee, 3% Employer. After 1 year in April – Age related up to max 6.5%.
