Lions Sports Academy runs high-quality residential sports camps at some of the UK's most impressive boarding school venues. We’re looking for an outstanding Camp Manager to take full on-site ownership at some of our summer programmes across rugby, cricket, and hockey at various sites throughout the summer holidays. This isn’t just a coaching role. You’ll be the on-site leader—managing staff, owning safeguarding as DSL, and ensuring every camp runs to the Lions standard.
How the Week Works
Each week runs a single 3-day, 2-night residential camp. The remaining days are kept as light preparation time—giving you the space to properly brief your team, review logistics, and ensure you’re fully ready to deliver the camp to the Lions standard.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage the coaching team day-to-day
- Act as on-site Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)
- Own arrival, registration, sessions, transitions, and departures
- Deliver daily coach briefings and debriefs
- Keep parents confident and players engaged throughout
- Submit a short post-camp summary each week
What We’re Looking For
- Experienced coach in rugby, cricket, or hockey
- Confident leading other coaches and owning accountability
- Strong safeguarding knowledge—DSL experience preferred, valid DBS essential
- Calm under pressure, organised, and reliable
- Ready to step up from coaching into leadership
Performance Bonus
Deliver each camp with zero major issues across 5 criteria—full delivery, no safeguarding escalations, positive feedback, coaching to standard, no operational breakdowns—and earn £100 on top per camp.
Pay £500/week + up to £100 bonus per camp. Each week covers one 3-day, 2-night residential camp (accommodation and meals included during the camp).
