Lions Sports Academy is looking for an enthusiastic, confident and caring Sports Coach to join our growing team in the Maidenhead area. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves sport, enjoys working with children and young people, and wants to make a genuine difference through physical activity.
A key part of the role will be creating a positive, welcoming environment where girls and young women feel confident participating in sport, helping them develop their skills, self-belief and enjoyment of physical activity.
The Role
- You will deliver engaging sports and physical activity sessions across schools in Maidenhead and the surrounding area, including:
- PE curriculum sessions
- Breakfast, lunchtime and after-school clubs
- Girls' sport and participation sessions
- Multi-sports activities
- Holiday and enrichment programmes
- Supporting pupils to develop confidence, teamwork and resilience through sport
We're particularly interested in coaches who understand the importance of positive role models within girls' sport and can inspire young people who may not naturally see themselves as "sporty" to get involved and enjoy being active.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has a genuine passion for sport and working with young people
- Is energetic, approachable and confident leading groups
- Can build positive relationships with pupils and school staff
- Understands how to encourage and engage girls in physical activity
- Is reliable, organised and professional
- Can create sessions where every child feels comfortable getting involved
- Is happy working independently as well as part of the Lions team
- Holds relevant sports coaching qualifications or has suitable coaching experience
- Ideally holds a full UK driving licence and has access to transport
