They will be required to assess the work of their students and provide constructive, individual feedback on a weekly basis. The Humanities department places a strong emphasis on the development of effective teaching, learning and assessment strategies. Through ongoing weekly CPD, the Humanities team are focussed upon ensuring that differentiation is used to provide a suitable level of challenge for all students and that effective Assessment for Learning is used to support student progress. There is also a teaching philosophy amongst staff that humanities lessons should be focussed on developing student curiosities and building upon these to provide a contextualised learning experience for all students.
