Head of Performing Arts at Humphrey Perkins School, part of the Lionheart Educational Trust. Location: Barrow upon Soar, Leicestershire. Contract: Permanent, Full Time. Salary: MS / UPS plus TLR2A. Start date: 13th April 2026. Expires: 29th January :00 AM.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Performing Arts department, promoting high standards across all key stages.
Act as a tutor as part of pastoral care for our students.
Contribute to the schoolβs extensive extra-curricular programme.
Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen and shape the ethos of the department and the school.
Support a personalised CPD programme and staff wellbeing.
Demonstrate commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people; participate in required pre-employment checks including enhanced DBS.

Qualifications and experience
Qualified teacher with a track record of high-quality teaching; leadership or coordination experience in Performing Arts is desirable.
Ability to work with able and articulate students; commitment to raising aspirations and achievement.
Strong teamwork, communication, and pastoral care skills.
