  • Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8.15am- 3.15 pm, 39 weeks per year (term-time plus one week including training days)

Responsibilities:

  • To provide support for individual pupils with an Educational Health Care Plan.
  • To assist the teacher in the delivery of the agreed educational plan, upon which the postholder will be briefed.
  • This role is not centred on supporting one individual learner; instead, it is adaptive in nature, requiring the postholder to work flexibly with a number of learners throughout the day.
  • Support learning activities, especially Literacy, Numeracy, Social Skills and emotional health.
  • Be a fully integrated member of the school’s staff team and as such have responsibility for working to agreed school policies and procedures.
  • Be aware of school and statutory frameworks that directly impact on their own work with pupils.
