Responsibilities:
- To provide support for individual pupils with an Educational Health Care Plan.
- To assist the teacher in the delivery of the agreed educational plan, upon which the postholder will be briefed.
- This role is not centred on supporting one individual learner; instead, it is adaptive in nature, requiring the postholder to work flexibly with a number of learners throughout the day.
- Support learning activities, especially Literacy, Numeracy, Social Skills and emotional health.
- Be a fully integrated member of the school’s staff team and as such have responsibility for working to agreed school policies and procedures.
- Be aware of school and statutory frameworks that directly impact on their own work with pupils.
