They’re looking for someone with a well-rounded leadership skillset, and with “hands-on” technical competency (cyber security, systems architecture or similar), to drive their complex IT strategy forward.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with 2-3 days per week required to work from Devon-based offices, starting from April 2026. Please ensure you read the below overview and requirements for this employment opportunity completely.

As Head of IT, Transformation & Innovation, you will be responsible for the whole of IT BAU & projects with a particular emphasis on providing hands-on leadership surrounding technical projects, some of which are already in-flight. You will contribute to the corporate plans for technology, digital, data and systems, as well as the cyber security and business continuity strategy. You will plan and execute the future technology organisational structure and deepen the understanding, state-of-play and opportunities of further digitalisation and connectivity for the business.

Essential experience:
  • Experience working within a fast-paced, transformational IT/digital environment at Head of IT/IT Director level
  • Delivering/overseeing complex projects such as system architecture/cyber security projects
  • Change management
  • Developing and contributing to corporate strategies and plans
  • Large IT budget creation and management
  • Proven emerging technologies awareness and application to businesses
  • Collaborative leadership approach
  • Evidence of continuous professional development, programme/project management certifications or ITIL certification would be highly desirable
