The Company Lioncroft has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Manager to join a dynamic and growing team within a leading wholesaler in the Midlands. This role is ideal for inspirational leaders with a strong operational background within wholesale, retail, grocery, B2B, or B2C environments. The role requires a high-performing operations leader with experience in fast-paced environments, able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a strong customer focus. The candidate should bring proven problem-solving ability and confident team leadership, alongside a track record of improving and challenging existing processes. Ideally, the candidate has a background in transport, logistics, or dispatch, with a solid understanding of delivery operations and last-mile execution.

Main Duties:

  • Manage the team to ensure all operating procedures are fully complied with and all KPIs are consistently met.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all delivery-related queries and resolve any delivery issues promptly, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Responsible for the effective planning of the team to maximize productivity and react swiftly to challenges and spikes in workload.
  • Actively manage and develop the performance of the team, ensuring they are trained and supported as required, as well as dealing with performance issues in a timely fashion.
  • Takes proactive ownership of fleet maintenance and compliance across all vehicles.
