The Company Lioncroft Wholesale Limited’s business was formed in 2020 after being bought out from the wider East End Foods business. This wholesale business is a £150m turnover company, stretched across two sites with ambitions to grow rapidly in the next few years. It operates through having a diverse customer base across thousands of customers and a strong supplier base.

Main Duties This is a fantastic role of overseeing all operations of the depot. Directly supporting the Group Depot Manager. In this position, you will work to deliver the business's strategy by leading production performance, control, quality and service across Lioncroft Wholesale Ltd ensuring excellent customer satisfaction scores and a team of empowered employees who are proud to work at Lioncroft Wholesale Ltd. As a General Manager you will have accountability of your depot and lead with exceptional leadership skills, strong communications skills. Responsible for the running of the entire depot; including managing and mentoring employees. Working alongside the wider business to develop and implement the growth and profit strategy. Be “the voice” of the depot by understanding the local market and competitor activity to influence key stakeholders. Ensure the achievement of set targets and objectives. Drive sales growth by identifying opportunities to develop company performance and revenue. Build and maintain a strong rapport with customers with a view to generating sales. Awareness and understanding of stock availability issues. Monitoring health and safety in the depot. Build strong influential relationships with food service and retail customers to understand and meet their needs. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service. Complete store administration and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards. Assist HR in resolving staff issues (complaints, grievances, etc).
Essential Requirements A strong customer focused background. Exceptional leadership skills. Previous experience of managing a large team. Must demonstrate a proven ability to motivate, coach and develop people. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, you will have experience in maintaining good relationships with both internal stakeholders and with our external customers. A proactive “can-do” approach, with a desire to work at pace. A strong attention to detail and ability to plan and prioritize effectively. A desire to improve and refine processes. Aspiration to progress in your career. Results focused Individual.
Desirable Requirements Experience working in a fast-moving environment. A strong understanding of FMCG wholesale business. A strong customer focused background. Must demonstrate a proven ability to motivate, coach and develop people. Must be results focused and able to deliver to KPI’s in a timely manner. Previous experience working in a wholesale/ retail sector.
