We are excited to announce an opportunity for a meticulous Desktop Publisher to join our dynamic team, focusing on an innovative project in technical documentation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on precision and is eager to contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality content that meets and exceeds customer specifications.
As a Desktop Publisher at Lionbridge, you will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and the technical publications team to transform complex information into clear, professional, user-focused documents. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that our documentation not only meets the highest standards of accuracy and clarity but also enhances the user experience through design and layout. You will work mainly from home with occasional visits to Lionbridge offices or customer sites for meetings and collaborative sessions.
What You Will Do:
- Create, format, and edit technical documents
- Collaborate with writers, editors, and subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and consistency
- Apply your keen eye for detail to proofread and quality-check documents, ensuring they meet all project and customer standards
- Adapt to evolving project requirements and incorporate feedback to continuously improve our documentation
- Create and/or populate spreadsheets & databases
- Merge and manipulate graphics data using bespoke software
- Update technical manuals with revisions in accordance with pagination requirements.
To Be Successful You Will Have:
- UK nationality and no known reason why DBS clearance may not be granted
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong English language capability
- Outstanding attention to detail and experience of proofreading and quality checking
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Acrobat software
- Demonstratable experience of being proactive, adaptable, and resourceful.
