We are a small but well-established control panel manufacturing company, supplying bespoke control panels within the elevator industry. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Control Panel Builder / Wirer who takes pride in precision, quality, and craftsmanship to join our growing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assembly and wiring of electrical control panels from schematics and technical drawings.
- Panel layout, drilling, and mechanical assembly.
- Installation of components including relays, PLCs, terminals, and switchgear.
- Point-to-point wiring, cable routing, and termination.
- Ensure all work meets industry standards and health & safety regulations according to company workshop manual.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in control panel building and wiring.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Working to deadlines whilst maintaining high-quality workmanship.
- Knowledge of electrical standards and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Other duties:
- Stock and delivery intake from our suppliers.
- Part picking for controllers.
- Cabinet preparation, final completion and packaging of control panels after test.
What We Offer:
- Competitive salary (based on experience).
- Stable, long-term employment.
- Monday to Thursday 8:00am to 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am to 1:00pm.
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (5 days to be taken for Christmas/New Year shutdown).
