Essential Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor / Authorised Litigator
- Current IAAS Supervising Senior Caseworker accreditation
- Strong experience in Legal Aid immigration and asylum work
- Experience supervising casework and staff
- Ability to manage a caseload of immigration and asylum matters under Legal Aid
- Good knowledge of LAA contract requirements, compliance, and file management
Duties
- Supervise all Legal Aid immigration and asylum casework
- Manage own caseload of Legal Aid files
- Ensure compliance with Legal Aid Agency contract requirements
- Assist with setting up and developing the firm’s Legal Aid department
- Support quality standards, policies, and procedures
- Provide guidance and supervision to caseworkers and other staff
Desirable
- Experience in firm setup or department development
- Strong knowledge of asylum claims, appeals, bail, and related immigration matters
- Experience working in a busy Legal Aid practice
