Leigh Beck Junior School is looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and committed Cover Supervisor who has experience of teaching KS2. The role will involve teaching sets and covering teachers for PPA 3 times a week.
Responsibilities
- Provide cover supervision in KS2 and teach sets, covering teachers for PPA three times a week.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Have an NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience
- Be experienced in working with children of relevant age in a learning environment
- Have excellent numeracy/literacy skills - educated to a minimum of GCSE C in Maths and English
- Be able to use ICT effectively
- Have a working knowledge and experience of implementing national curriculum and other relevant learning programmes/strategies
- Able to develop positive relationships with children and adults

This is a public facing role and the successful candidate must speak fluent English.
Contract and salary
- Contract type: Fixed term (31st August 2026)
- Grade/pay range: Scale 5/6 - Points 11-17
- Salary details (annual) FTE: £28,142 - £31,022
- Actual pro rata salary if part-time: £12,815 - £14,126
- Working hours: 19.5 Hours per week, 3 days a week (08:15 to 15:45)
- Working pattern: Term time only plus inset days
