Responsibilities:
- Execute all Supply Chain Management (SCM) and procurement activities in accordance with the SCM and company procedures.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers / subcontractors as per company procedures and SCM sourcing strategies.
- Assist the Tendering Department and Project execution with regards to their activities.
- Issue RFQs (Request for Quotations) using the eSourcing platform.
- Obtain and negotiate final prices, deliveries, commercial terms and conditions with suppliers to ensure compliant technical and commercial bids are available.
- Prepare price comparison tables along with a total cost overview identifying and comparing foreign exchange rate influences, transportation costs, different payment terms, etc.
- Negotiate and prepare the Special Conditions of Purchase Orders and obtain relevant approvals as per Levels Of Authority protocols.
- Co‑coordinate with FSSC (Financial Shared Services Center) the Purchase to Pay process in the Oracle ERP system.
- Review supplier order acknowledgements for compliance to the terms of the purchase order.
- Manage the purchase order; process goods receipt in the ERP; administer invoices (assist in the resolution of any invoice query); undertake routine and timely expediting of all materials / services and documentation as required by the project delivery team.
- Notify vendor when in breach of contract (delay, etc.) and prepare and negotiate claims; issue progress reports reflecting these activities.
- Identify and onboard potential new suppliers in accordance with Linxon processes and procedures.
- Input cost reductions achieved on the purchases made and report periodically to Line Manager.
- Assist in the collation of KPI data and checking costs, quality and levels of service; regularly review open purchase orders and take necessary actions for closure of open purchase orders as due.
- Follow Linxon code of conduct and ethics; monitor compliance to health and safety and business ethics within operational work, contracts and negotiations.
- Strengthen customer relationships through successful procurement solutions.
- Participate in added-value reviews, sourcing strategies and innovation opportunities.
Qualifications / Experience:
- Minimum CIPS qualification (or equivalent) and applicable experience in lieu of qualification.
- Knowledge of Transmission or Distribution (11kV to 400kV) procurement / tendering activities.
- Knowledge of various industry standards client working.
- Good working knowledge of international procurement frameworks.
- Experience with Oracle ERP System.
- Experience implementing new processes / tools / software and mentoring other team members.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience in high-pressure, project-driven environments.
- Ability to build relationships effectively and challenge the status quo.
- Effective communication at all levels.
